At Echo, we are pleased to have some very sought after instruments available to our clients, at no extra cost.
Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Guitar (1978)
The studio workhorse, this guitar is always available to give extra tone and weight to any recording.
Wurlitzer ‘Butterfly’ Electric Piano (60s / 70s)
Very rare with a beautiful sound, you only need to hear it for a few seconds to realise that digital emulations don’t even come close.
Musicman Stingray Bass (Late 70s)
Smooth sound and easy to play, quite often preferred to the bass players usual guitar.
Yamaha CP-80 Piano (Early 80s)
Mic it up to get a real piano sound or plug it into an amp to get something totally different!
Hammond Organ (Early 70s)
A favourite for adding some variety to tracks…
Marshall 2 x 12 JMP Master Model Lead Combo (70s)
This has been used on more recordings than anything else at Echo and has led to many guitar players ‘forgetting’ their amps when coming to the studio. As Bernie Marsden (who knows a thing or two about guitar tones) commented:
"No two amps sound the same. Sometimes, you just get a special one… and you’ve got one there."
